Revitalisation in Druids Heath

Druids Heath is a 15 to 20-year programme to build 3,500 new, modern homes of which 1,800 (51%) are planned to be affordable. Revitalised commercial and community spaces including a vibrant high street and new sports facilities, outstanding green spaces, and new infrastructure and transport links to employment and local services are also part of the plans. BCC has agreed masterplan working with the local community.

The council has selected a preferred developer partner, Lovell, and both have begun work on a partnership agreement, which is expected to be agreed upon and signed in spring 2026. An outline planning application was submitted in March and details how 400 homes will be built as affordable homes, which the council aims to deliver for social rent.

The remaining affordable homes will be delivered through a partnership agreement with a developer and registered providers.
